About a Month of Craziness... But Good Craziness

So it's been close to a month since our last post and order is finally being restored to our lives...

Here's a brief summary of what's been going on:
  • Emily went through the temple for the first time. It was an amazing experience and the Spirit was amazingly strong, as evidenced by the picture:

  • Emily and I were married April 24, 2010. It was an amazing day! It pretty much rained all week, and we barely missed the snow that came after, but it turned out to be a warm, sunny day.

It was special to be able to share that day with friends and family. It was a day that I will always be grateful for, to be sealed to Emily for time and all eternity. I can't even begin to express how much I love Emily and all that she does... In addition, our luncheon and reception both turned out amazing as well. Pictures are on their way... Thanks to all who contributed to this special day!!
  • We had our honeymoon in Vegas - what better way to celebrate our new marriage than in Sin City??... But in all honesty, it was a ton of fun! We were fortunate enough, thanks to a few friends, of checking out a show while we were there (Mystere, in case you were wondering). It turned out to be kinda chilly while we were there, and the wind never really stopped until the day we left (thanks to the wind and unfortunately for our car, we were hit by a few flying objects while driving...). But, like I said, it was a ton of fun.

  • After the honeymoon, we went down to San Diego for our Open House - another amazing experience! It was beautiful:

It couldn't have turned out better! It was so fun to be able to be together and enjoy one another's company. Again, thanks to all who helped! It was a blast!

So, we're now back to work and trying to organize our apartment (everyone's invited over once we get it somewhat under control). These past few weeks have been great! We're grateful for everyone's contributions - we couldn't have done it without you. We love you guys.

I just wanna close this post by saying how much I love my wife. She's amazing and I don't know why, out of everybody else, she picked me. But I'm grateful she did. :) I love you, Emily. Thank you for all that you do.

gLee

Last night I had an awakening. After American Idol - yes, I watch that too - Emily and I ended up watching Glee's season premiere. I was skeptical, to say the least; I had heard about the show and I had no real desire to watch it. But as the episode wore on, I found myself drawn into the plot somehow and wishing for the end to never come. To put it gently, I was hooked.

So, hello Glee. I'm your newest fan. And because of you, I learned that dolphins are just gay sharks.

And that it's sometimes ok to feel like Lady GaGa.

Bachelor Parties, Showers, Weddings, and... Bunnies??

So it's been quite awhile since our last post, so I feel now's an appropriate time to update on what's been going on. And, if I do say so myself, things have been crazy busy.

We were swamped this past weekend! Emily was busy with the shower (thanks to all that attended, by the way), as well as taking her bridals. I've only seen one so far, but from what I've seen they are amazing!

I, on the other hand, had quite an adventure at my bachelor party on Friday night. One word: epic. 11 hours of pure awesome-ness, and I'm pretty sure we left Wendover in better condition than how we found it. Thanks especially to Chase and Wayne for planning it! It was a ton of fun.

Things are picking up for the wedding - it's crazy to think that in less than 2 weeks we'll be getting married!! We've gotten most of the things done, and now we're just trying to wrap everything up.

Lastly, I was fortunate enough to participate in a life-changing photo shoot on Sunday afternoon. Why was it life-changing, you ask? See for yourself:

And yes, there's more where that came from...

Exactly a Month From Today...

Almost six months ago I met the person I'd be spending the rest of my life with. Though I had to use the Ward Directory to get her number - which yes, i know, is total creeper-status - I'm glad she didn't get too weirded out and decided to go out with me. It's been amazing; I couldn't be happier and I am so grateful for all she does.

Today marks the official countdown: 1 month!! I seriously cannot wait to walk into the temple that day and come out sealed to Emily for time and all eternity. I consider myself extremely lucky to be marrying her and am looking forward to our future together.

Emily: I love you. One month from today is going to be one of the most amazing days of my life. I can't wait to start my life with you. You make me extremely happy; thank you for all that you do.

I love you!!

Coming up on almost a year to go...

Happy birthday, bro.

Hope you have a good and memorable one. You're exactly where you need to be. Argentina is lucky to have you.

And BYU won today. So there's a good b-day present for ya.

Some are Team Edward, Others are Team Jacob...

So the new teaser trailer for Eclipse just came out - for the very few who may not yet know, yes, another Twilight movie. Now, I'm not saying we're excited about it, but we did get advanced tickets to the last movie and were pretty much the first ones in the theater. And yes, I admit, I (Sean) liked it. And yes, I admit, I read the books. So it's safe to say this will likely be similar if not a bigger deal. It could, in fact, be the first movie we see in theaters as a married couple. Just saying.

Anyway, with the release of the last movie, most avid Twilight fans have separated and united themselves in one of two important groups: Team Edward or Team Jacob. We, however, do not associate ourselves with either. No, we prefer to take the road less traveled. So while the rest of the world battles over who is a better fit for Bella, we will be sitting back watching. In short, we are... Team Charlie.
